WTF: sending to multiple numbers triggers MMS

I was sending for new year sms to multiple numbers. SMS become MMS and it costed me a lot. How is that even possible? Is there anybody thinking about price of MMS? Fix this

    I am also facing same problem where textra does not have this issue or the stock sms of my phone
