This a feature I would love to see as well (Textra has it), it is VERY useful for when a send delay is set up and desired in general, but often times I don't need the delay but still have to wait X seconds for the message to be sent.

*bypass it, not build it

it's for people who want to have a delay set for texts, but sometimes want to build it and send a particular text immediately. For instance, when you're texting back and forth with someone and you know you want the text to send, it would be great if you could press something so that text would go immediately. To accomplish this now I exit from the thread and go back in, but that is inconvenient. Thank you.

I don't get this problem, if you configure no delay the message will in fact send immediately. If I am misunderstanding your request please clarify it for me, thank you.
