Cannot send a phone number via SMS text message.
Please adjust contact sharing function. Now a phone number typed in an SMS text message is replaced by a link to a contact and the receiving person cannot see the number and cannot dial it.

commentedYeah I don't like shit being changed automatically - with NO way to switch it off. I don't care what the other person sees or gets at the other end, I want to ONLY send a number, and not see a contacts name, in place of the number. I fucking HATE this function. It's like the people who did the Brave Browser, suddenly decided that you really didn't need to see the FULL URL of the internet address - so they conveniently shortened it for you..... So much for detecting redirects and hacks etc. Same with this auto edit. I want to see the number I am sending them, and not the contacts name. AND if you want to include such featuires, make them OPT IN, and to have a way to switch them off.

commentedExample: I need a client to call my customer service rep. I have to type in the phone as 333x333x3333 to get the number to appear as text. or use some other sign like # or $ as a separator to show the phone number rather than have some random contact's name at my company show in the text message.

commentedThis is critical. How do I turn off this contact link in message. I have multiple contacts at the same company, both my own company and other client companies. This feature inserts random names that are not the right person I'm asking a contact to call!

commentedAdded on, I would prefer to see the number myself tho, a lot of contacts have more than one number for one thing, and the list goes on!

commentedYa I freaked out when I saw my contact in the SMS I'd just sent and was received all ready by the other person, BUT they didn't know what I was talking about because they had received the #, NOT the name I had in my contacts list.

commentedWhen I type in a phone number that belongs to a contact on my phone it appears as a link for me. The other phone, gets it a regular phone number if that number isn't in its contacts. This is also what I would expect to happen.

commentedDear users, the number is shown as a contact link to you but to the recipient it is still shown as a number. (I am also a user)

commentedFor me, when I send a phone number in SMS, it is sent and received as a phone number. And it is not converted to the link to the contact (as happened to me with Textra aap). I am using this app on my "Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105".
