Capture audio when composing a message
To send a little audio snippet, recorded using the phone's microphone. Not converted to text...just the audio snippet itself.

Hy,
That’s a useful feature, especially for people who prefer speaking over typing. One thing I’ve noticed though is that sometimes you want to keep or reuse that audio separately, like saving a clip or background sound. In those cases, tools that let you extract audio from short videos can actually help a lot. I’ve tried https://dvtik.com/ a few times to grab clean MP3 audio from clips, and it’s surprisingly quick. Makes it easier to repurpose audio without needing extra apps or complicated steps. -

This topic is interesting because capturing audio while composing a message can really preserve tone and authenticity, especially for creators who work with raw or unfinished ideas. A lot of indie filmmakers and musicians actually prefer recording quick voice notes or ambient sound first, then shaping the message around it later. I’ve noticed this workflow is common on platforms that value real, imperfect content over polished edits. That’s partly why spaces like TabooTube stand out, since many creators share short videos where natural audio is part of the storytelling process. If anyone’s curious, this article explains that creative approach well https://thetabootube.com.

And what are the snippet are you referring to on Android? I would like to see a picture of this or a video of it working as there is only the stock microphone on my Google keyboard and there is no other microphone snippet that appears in any of the pop-up menus down where the options for stickers and gifs or anything else is

Specifically, when you click the little "+" sign next to the message composer, choose the first icon. In that menu, I'd like to see "capture audio". Use the built-in sound recorder to capture the audio. Handcent has this.
