Agree. Being able to choose a number, say 300, where once 300 is hit per conversation oldest message gets deleted (excluding locked messages) with each new text coming in. Avoid gumming up or overloading application or using too much storage space...
(Great product though!!)
.
EDIT: I DID pay for Pro
Edv deserves $ for excellent efforts & product. -

An "option" to select a delete date/period would be helpful. I would set it to delete everything older than 1 year.

Since the last update, my phone crashes when I try to use the app. I need 2-3 attempts to be able to send a text. Happens a couple of times a day.

I'm going to chime in here and say we desperately need this feature. I want the ability to view my messages through filters. I'd also like to be able to create rules to periodically purge text messages. For example, I want to keep all the texts from certain contacts. However, I also get a lot of notification/automated texts on my phone. Hundreds over time. I'd like the ability to have those removed by assigning specific rules.

I've been a Chomp user for close to 10 years I think and now moving to Textra because they added a scheduling feature and they have message auto delete. 🤷🏻♂️
