Please? I factory reset my phone every 3 months and use SMS Backup+ to restore only my latest 500 messages, otherwise the database takes quite awhile to reload after clearing Chomp's cache.

This is one feature Go SMS has that chomp doesn't. I've recently migrated over to Chomp from Go. They removed most of the customization options, and I love to tinker. This is my first day on Chomp, and so far it's great. Just this one option would make it perfect for me. These text threads can get super long, and there should be a way to automatically do the vacuuming for you. Tidy up the place. Please please offer this option soon.

I think we all want the limiting of messages per contact. All these messages slows down the phone. Get it done chomp!

I would love this feature too.

I've recently switched to Chomp SMS from Handcent SMS and am really liking it, but there are a few things Chomp SMS needs. Limiting conversations to a user-defined number of SMS and MMS messages should be high on that list.

Please include an option for a user defined limit to the number of messages that are saved per contact. OR, an easy way to delete multiple older msg's without deleting the entire thread. This option IS AVAILABLE in the standard pre-packaged messenger app. ...perhaps CHOMP could simply "honor" the setting in the original app??? Thank you for your consideration.
