Add a mute feature to turn off notifications for a specific conversation or group chat.

I want to be able to select a convo and mute it so the texts are still received however I'm not notified. This would be a great feature to temporarily silence group chats which the user does not wish to actively take part in. preferably a simple press on the convo and a tap of a mute button.

    This would be GREAT! It's been almost a year since Kenny suggested this, it has plenty of votes. Not to mention I've seen similar requests posted as well. I really hope this will be something that happens sooner rather than later.

    I could use this feature from time to time so let me know if you're planning on adding this feature to the service. this feature is good enough that I would pay for it all so with all the other ones combined as a All in One texting app. If you do it let me know. Please let me know and I will most likely pay for it!

    I noticed that I can mute individual conversations with one person by long pressing in the conversation list and selecting notifications. However, this doesn't work for group conversations. Please consider adding this for conversations with more than one person. It would be very helpful. Thank you!

    this used to be a feature..long press on the message in the list view and select mute. sadly I don't see it anymore. very helpful for the work related group messages that your included in but really don't need to be lol

    This is a feature in textra but not here. Textra is supposed to be a stripped down version of this app so why doesn't chomp have this option?

    on the conversation list if u long hold the message area you'll get the option "no notification". you'll have the little bubble in the convert list showing u have a new one but u won't get the notification

    yes would love this. like now, I'm getting notifications for a group text thread that in not actively responding in. the notifications are annoying for that group.
