Ability to turn off dual-SIM support for non-dual-SIM phones as to remove annoying SIM identifier in message view

I don't have a dual-SIM phone and there is no option to turn off dual-SIM support showing the SIM card each individual message was sent with

    I don't want to see the little "1" on every message, it's annoying! How do I disable this unwanted feature??

    please please please give the option to disable the "1" next to every single message for non dual sim phones!
