Help 2nd req. Something is broken when reveiving MMS. Actually not receiving until I switch to and back from Google messages.
Something is broken. Group message contacts show up as a garbled bunch of letters. MMS not coming in at all unless I switch back and forth from Google messages. Even worse, one contacts sms do not co.e in at all unless I switch to google messages. He is apple user. I hate to do it but I have to abandon Chomp if this can't be solved

Suddenly not receiving texts from 2 apple users. If I make Google message the sms ap I can see the missing texts. They are classified as MMS though

Have recipient show thentext was READ
Why can't chomp identify if a text sent was read by a recipient. Other text apps show that. It only shows if was delivered, buy not if actually read

Direction of text
1- Set direction of each line separately. Currently direction of other lines depends on first line. i.e. If the first line is detected as ltr, other line will be ltr, but they may be rtl.
2- Also set direction of message title using first strong character to rtl or ltr.3 votes -

Add other calendars to show date. Like Solar Hijri (Persian) calendar. For example instead of 2025-05-23 show 1404-03-02.

Vibration setting is not stored
For an individual contact I would like to get for incoming SMS a sound as well as a vibration. While sound works well, the setting for "long vibration" does not work. Even so the general vibration mode of the Smartphone is set and working (I have a pixel 7 pro). I can select "long vibration" in Chomps and select okay, but when I go back and check the settings, the setting for "normal" is marked. There is absolute no vibration, what makes think that "normal" means either no vibration or that vibration is broken for individual contacts.

Offering if recipient actually READS the text sent by you. Not just a delivered notification
Offer Chomp users to see if recipient has actually READ the text that was sent. Not just if the text was received.

FOUND A BUG...
I have a thread that doesn't show up at all unless I search for it. When I search for it I see the whole history. If I use Google messages, only the last day shows up and the rest disappears. But it is in the right place in the list. If I use Samsung messages, it's all there in the right place. This has never happened before. I wonder why? Thanks.

Notification setting to read incoming message
Would be great to just read the new text message as the notification. No need to look at the phone to know if you need to reply or not.

Emoji Tapback Reactions
I'm glad Chomp gives us "Liked 'message'" when someone clicks 👍🏻 and "Loved" for ❤️.
(1) It would be great to actually show emojis instead of "Liked", "Loved", etc .
(2) It would be REALLY great if Chomp could actually find that message and add the emoji to it, like iPhone and Galaxy messages can. I think this should be possible!12 votes -
Not a new idea. I need specific step-by-step instructions on how to create, name, add, delete, change names for creating a group.
You sent me instructions before on creating and managing groups in chomp SMS however I've never been able to make that work.
I was able to create a family group one time and have no idea how I did it.

Auto block spam/scam texts like phone calls or emails are autoblocked.
Screen spam/scam texts and autoblock like phones do. I get ~5 texts/day from political orgs I don't want and didn't sign up for. Block listing means they keep coming under new #s. It's so intrusive, I don't want to check my texts. I REALLY like Chomp, I'm going to start looking for other text apps that can autoblock these.
