Different colors
Customizable colors for contacts in texts in group and not in group. Participants in groups having different color bubles. Would be great for separation each user.
New user from Verizon messages+. Very thankful for finding this app!! Have been lost searching for an great app and I think I've found it! Thanks for all your hard work on this app. Hoping to be here forever, with continued improvements forever ❤️

Why suddenly SMS is sending
Very unfortunate problem
Occasionally SMS is sent while I am writing or editing text. I have set a delay of 6 seconds but it does not apply in these cases
Previously I had Motorola Moto 31 but after switching to Motorola Edge 50 Pro Android 14 the problem continues.

Wi-Fi support for picture Sending
Being able to send pictures over Wi-Fi is needed many people use wifi to communicate when cellular network is weak or unavailable. Like in my home for example got a metal roof no cell network here got to use Wi-Fi for messages and wifi calling. Verizon message plus did that they are dropping that app forcing customers to Google messages. So chomp this is a great time to pick up that feature you might get more customers just for that feature alone.

Sort idea matches based on votes
When you use the support function to find a solution, but there is not one,you check for ideas before adding a new one.
Since there can be hundreds of existing ideas suggested (with no apparent logic for sort order), consider sorting by total votes recieved.
Sometimes there are multiple ideas for the same solution, just worded slightly differently. This sort order would help concentrate user feedback.

Set search results font size when identifying contact for new text message
When starting a new text message and entering the first few letters of a contact name, the search results are a much smaller font size and connot be adjusted. The phone number and phone number type below the contact are also in gray font and not easily read.
Please allow this font size for contact search results to be set manually as well. Thanks!

When typing new text messages, show prior text wording
When typing a new text message to a contact, show the prior text messages for that contact in the empty space above where you type new texts.
Since many of my contacts have multiple numbers, often 2 cell phones (work and personal), it would be helpful if you could see prior texts in the space to know that you were using the right number. It may also be valuable if you are responding to multiple questions.

Be able to change the color of the conversation bar
Under the "theme it" option, you have the option to make anything any color you want...except the the text on the bar at the very top. That only has a setting for black or white. I would like the ability to make the words any color I want, same as I can with everything else.

Emoji Tapback Reactions
I'm glad Chomp gives us "Liked 'message'" when someone clicks 👍🏻 and "Loved" for ❤️.
(1) It would be great to actually show emojis instead of "Liked", "Loved", etc .
(2) It would be REALLY great if Chomp could actually find that message and add the emoji to it, like iPhone and Galaxy messages can. I think this should be possible!3 votes -

You would be able to select a date and time for the message to be sent

Select SMS or MSM for each thread
When creating a new message have the option to select SMS or MSM for that message on the message screen. Some messages need to be SMS and others need to be MSM.

Can we filter messages from only people in our contact list, or businesses etc or entities that we give permission.
I get so many requests for donations, political ambitions, and other annoying messages. I would love to be able to just receive messages from people or entities that I choose.

Need support for two phone #s on the same phone
I have two numbers on the same phone and with other SMS apps, I can choose which number to use for each text I send. I see maybe a manual way of doing this in Chomp but not sure if it truly sends from the second number when I change it or if just shows a different number to the receiver on the other end. I need to keep messages separated pretty my phone numbers (business vs. personal).

Badge counter showing 1 even though no unread messsges exist
Even though there are no unread messsges in my conversations, the unread messages counter on my badge shows 1

Drafts move to the top of your message list
When backing out of a message, it should be saved as a draft and moved up to the top of your messages. This will allow people to remember who they were texting and a text maybe that they need to send but need to wait till later to do so.

backup/restore blocklist.
Recently I got a new phone. I then discovered that my blocklist was empty. Would like to be able to backup/restore my blocklist.
