"SMS Backup and restore" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore) works great and can upload to Google Drive or Dropbox.
"SMS Backup+" offers upload to Gmail (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zegoggles.smssync) - creates custom email messages under specified tag.

I would really like this feature but not to drop box but to my gmail or to Google+ accounts that would be great!

good idea, but it would be better if another external application will manage cloud sync (maybe not dropbox)
