    Tagging messages would be better since you may add multiple tags to your message (which is impossible with folders)

    "SMS Backup and restore" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore) works great and can upload to Google Drive or Dropbox.

    "SMS Backup+" offers upload to Gmail (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zegoggles.smssync) - creates custom email messages under specified tag.
