When responding to group messages, allow for removing a recipient
When I receive a group message (I am one of multiple recipients), when I reply, allow me to remove recipients from my reply. This would create a new thread.

Yes, my stock messaging app (Samsung Galaxy S4) has the ability to add or remove recipients from group messages. This is something I miss and would really appreciate in Chomp! It is a very useful feature (and once you've had it, it is frustrating not having it).
As another commenter observed, adding or removing a recipient will start a new thread, which won't have the previous messages of the old thread. It's just convenient, rather than typing in the previous recipients (+ or - one or some) to start a new thread.

to the people who are asking about a way to remove yourself from group messages. I'm pretty sure its not possible. the "group messaging protocol" or what ever its called would need to be reworked to have a remove recipient option that would be pushed to all members in group. and every app Dev(third party and stock app) would have to be patched. for instance one guy in the group doesn't have have the latest patch, his phone wouldn't know to remove/not include you in the message and you would still recieve it....I could be wrong on this whole idea though

Yes, the feature should be able to quickly add or remove a recipient. And obviously this will create a new conversation thread within the main list.
