Please add this feature. I paid for gosms and then deleted it when they "updated" and took away all the customizations that I paid for and enjoyed. I have my ringer off all the time while at work and a custom notification icon is a must.

It only seems to allow for led light...not notification icon, I liked knowing by color who it is...

Changing the notification sound can be done. It does not allow you to assign a different icon .... Please add this option

Just long press the conversation in the conversation list. Select Notifications. Voila!

The only reason I switched to this was for custom icons for different contacts. This is used to be an option by long pressing the selection in convo list, but it's not there anymore. Kinda of a deal breaker.

Hmmmm, the icon color is not changing after being assigned to the chosen contact. I picked red, hit "ok" & it's coming up as hot pink. Anyone else experience this issue?

I am trying to leave handcent but not being able to have a different icon for each user is kind of a deal breaker.. not sure why they don't add that feature

YES. chompSMS lets you assign different sound and icon to each contact. long press the contact from the conversation list

I used gosms for years and absolutely loved it. The customization on it was endless bliss but after the update its too confusing. Being able to assign different color icons to specific people, use different fonts and different backgrounds was very helpful. Can you pleaseeee bring these options to Chomp? It would be perfect then! Please!

I gave up on Handcent and GoSMS after they updated to total confusion and I am loving Chomp but I really miss this option.... Bad! Please add it along with special sound and vibration...

Have just ditched Handcent tonight after using it for years and am liking Chomp so far but can't believe this feature is missing. I used orange icon as default, green for family, pink for girl buddies and blue for bf and the instant visual was very useful particularly if I was away from the phone so didn't hear the contact's notification sound when the msg was delivered. Please add this function. You already have the icon range so only being able to use one at a time seems a bit ridiculous.

Considering GoSMS is no longer a contender with the demise of their customization this feature really should be implemented asap. I was quite disappointed after trying EvolveSMS and Textra to find chompSMS had everything but something so simple
