    To implement a private message box feature in a messaging app like Chomp, consider adding passcode or biometric protection to individual chat threads. This would allow users to secure sensitive conversations without locking the entire application or displaying a visible "muted" icon that alerts snoopers. Passcode-protected threads could also be hidden completely behind a gesture or discreet pin code prompt to ensure total privacy.
