I don't receive notification sounds on my one plus 3 any more. The settings appear correct. I try pressing the test tab with no luck as well

No longer have notification sound and I want it back. It should be there,according to my settings, but it isn't!

I stopped getting sound notifications while a conversation is open on my stock messaging app (Samsung Galaxy S4) when Android updated to Lollipop. I'm not sure why that change was made, but hoping to find a solution I switched to Chomp. Currently Chomp has the same "feature" of no sound notifications while a conversation is open. While disappointed, I'm keeping the app because of other nice features. There is another feedback suggestion submitted to Chomp to add the option for sound notifications here (please add votes to fix this):

If on the other hand you are not getting any sound notifications from Chomp at any time, check the settings:
1. Open the Chomp App.
2. Press menu, then "Settings".
3. Press "Notifications".
4. Verify there is a check mark in the Notification box.
5. Press on "Ringtone" and verify "Silent" is not selected. Here you can choose your phone's Default notification or select any one you want from the Ringtones or Music drop-down menus.

Yes I recently upgraded my phone to the Sony Xperia Z5. Now I no longer get any sound for notifications. When I press the test button it works fine, but not getting anything when messages turn up. Is anyone addressing this problem?
