I used to receive notification sounds for each Chomp SMS text message but stopped a couple of years ago. Can this be enabled again ❓

Seems that this is a frequent problem, not just in my cheap-but-capable Chinese model. Colour me also with hand up.

Not getting a notification sound when getting a message, it only vibtares, even when I do the "test notification". I just reinstalled the app, but now it's not working, again.

I've got some more on this:

When I tap the "Test Notification" button it works fine (I get a vibrate and the notification sound). If I receive an SMS while still in the Notification Settings page, or in the Setting page, it works fine (I get a vibrate and the notification sound).

HOWEVER whenI close settings and am on a conversation page, when I receive an SMS, I get the vibrate but no notfification sound.

Out-of-app notification still works OK (vibration and sound).

Yes! I miss so many texts because the app no longer makes a sound when I'm in a convo and a new text comes in. If that notification can't be brought back, then I will have to switch apps, which would be a shame, cause I love this one!
