  2. I'm sure this has been suggested before, but ... It would be nice to be able to name the group for MMS chats.

    For example, I'm in a group of seven people who have a running text conversation, and I'd like for that group to show as "Band" in the list of messages.

  3. Show timestamps next to messages

    I have timestamps always on and they take up a lot of space.

    Have a option that displays timestamps next to messages similar to how stock android messaging is set up.

  5. voice input

    For a few months now, when I initially use voice input it works just fine but with ChompSMS running in the background, after awhile, the voice input prompt will say try again. And repeatedly clicking retry does not work. The only solution is to close the app and reopen it

  7. Get colored icon option in notification bar back

    Google really knows how to make people feel old. I'm embarrassed to complain about this, but I have a really hard time distinguishing the white "new SMS" icon from the white "new email" icon.

    Obviously when I had a blue Chomp icon, I didn't need to reach for reading glasses to read the notification bar. I saw the blue icon and went to Chomp and then had my customized interface with the nice large font I used in my template design.

    Sometimes I think Google is a bunch of teenage boys who make decisions without asking anybody besides other teenage…

  9. I only have wifi on this phone. My phone fell in water. If my phone number was connected to this phone I would not need to upload texting.

    How do I use free texting when wifi is the only thing connected to this device.l?

  10. Bitstrips was perfect for storyboarding, bring it back

    Please bring back bitstrips, perhaps you weren't fond of the idea after snapchat bought you guys out, although the 5 million people who still like your Facebook page are. But bitstirps could be so much more than just an app for people to make their own comics; for me and my many film making connections, we all used it as a way to make easy and accessible storyboards for our productions.   13. Add the ability to name Group chats

    Android Messages just added this feature today (3/20/19). Other than that and web compatibility, Chomp does everything better than messages.

  15. Shorthand

    The only thing this app is missing is the ability to create shorthand. Like if I type twimc and I have created my own shorthand definitions it would write to whom it may concern. Or if I did my initials it would write my whole name. I used shorthand years ago but this has never developed it.

    Instead of it dating someone is typing actually show a small window of the person with audio. Only if both parties I opt in or allow in settings or app permissions.

  20. Emotion characteristics

    What do people stress more over chats or text? Nice answers but no..... It's arguments, fights, getting let down by some one you admire, relationship trouble and miscommunication. Just like the (Mei) app that has A.I or artificial intelligence. Only the Mei app just asks questions and mostly tells you how the person is, or let's you change their characteristics traits..... Like wtf you gone do with that?
    No I'm talking about full blown man your girlfriend is texting like she has something on your mind, your mom is asking more questions than usual, you're boyfriends patterns are pushing you…
